Garden Maintenance

Regular visits that keep the garden in shape: lawns cut and edged, hedges trimmed, beds weeded and the green waste taken away, across Wilmslow and Cheshire.
Lawns cut, edged and kept in shape through the season
Hedges, shrubs, beds and borders kept tidy
Clippings and green waste taken away

What affects scope

  • The size of the garden and the lawn
  • The height and length of the hedges
  • How often you want visits
  • How much green waste there is to take away

What to send first

  • Roughly how big the garden is, and whether it is the front, the back or both
  • What needs doing: the lawn, the hedges, the beds, or all of it
  • How often you would like someone to come
  • Anything about access: side gates, steps or parking

Good fit when

  • You want the garden kept tidy without spending every weekend on it
  • Lawns, hedges and borders need regular attention through the season
  • A garden has been built or relaid and you want it kept the way it looked when it was finished

If the garden needs more than upkeep, Landscaping and Garden Design cover rebuilding it. Turf and Artificial Grass is the page for a lawn that needs replacing rather than cutting.

Gardens do not stand still. Leave one for a few weeks in the growing season and the lawn loses its edge, the hedges push out over the path and the beds fill with weeds. Garden maintenance is the regular work that stops that happening: mowing and edging, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding beds and borders, clearing leaves and keeping paths and patios clear, with the clippings taken away. How often we come is agreed with you after a first look at the garden. Wilsonjones Landscapes has invested in new machinery for this side of the business, and because the same company designs and builds gardens, a loose slab, a leaning fence panel or a wet corner of lawn gets pointed out early, before it turns into a bigger job.

Values

Design and build in one team

The layout, the groundworks, the hard landscaping and the planting are handled by the same people, so the finished garden matches the plan rather than a subcontractor's interpretation of it.

More than ten years in Cheshire

Over a decade of gardens in the same part of the country — the same soils, the same drainage problems and the same weather that the work has to survive.

What our customers say

“Steve and his team did an outstanding job designing and installing a new patio for us. The project was extensive, encompassing the entire property, including a courtyard, living area, pathways, and patios that wrap around the house. Throughout the project, Steve and his team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, delivering exceptional workmanship at a fair and competitive price. Communication was excellent from start to finish, ensuring we were always informed and confident about the progress of the work. Richard”

Richard Smith

“Steven complete work for me a few months ago, extended the patio area and added paths in garden and also build a bespoke shed and greenhouse. I'm really pleased with end result, Steve was dilengent and worked long hours, especially after some other lads let him down, to get my job finished. He was really easy to talk to and accomodating for some changes to the shed as it went up as well. Plus bonus of the two extra dog friends while the work was being done. I would recommend and use again.”

Zoe Collier

“Steve and his colleagues built us some new decking and pointed the paving. They worked quickly, skillfully, and left the site tidy. Excellent work all round and we enjoyed having them work on our garden. Recommended.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a garden maintenance visit include?
It is agreed with you after a first look at the garden. It usually covers mowing and edging the lawn, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding beds and borders, clearing leaves and keeping paths and patios clear, with the green waste taken away.
How often would you come?
That depends on the garden and the time of year. Through the growing season most lawns need cutting every week or two, while hedges and borders need attention less often. The pattern of visits is agreed with you before anything starts.
Can you do a one-off tidy-up first?
Yes. Garden clearance and waste removal are both jobs Wilsonjones Landscapes takes on, so an overgrown garden can be cleared and brought back under control before regular visits begin.
What if something needs more than maintenance?
Wilsonjones Landscapes also designs and builds gardens, so if a patio, fence, wall or lawn needs more than routine care you get a straight answer on what it needs, and a separate quote before any of that work goes ahead.
