Wilsonjones Landscapes puts up fences, garden walls and retaining walls across Cheshire, Trafford and Greater Manchester, including Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Altrincham and Sale. Fencing covers boundaries, screening and privacy, in timber or composite panels. The posts are set firmly in the ground so the fence stays straight in the wind. If an old fence has blown down or rotted at the posts, we take it out and remove it as part of the job.
Walls range from low brick walls around a patio to stone or reclaimed-brick feature walls and raised beds. Brick work and stone work are part of what we do, so a wall can be matched to the house or to paving elsewhere in the garden.
Retaining walls are the heavier end of the job. Where a garden slopes, they hold back the soil so you can have a level lawn or patio. They need a proper footing and drainage behind them, or the pressure of wet soil will push them over in time. Steve looks at the height, the soil and how wet the ground is before deciding how a wall is built.
